Use of ’th’ instead of ’t’ in old German | ||

I have noticed in works of Schopenhauer and Nietzsche that words that are spelt in
modern German with a 't', appear in these works with a 'th'. For example: 'Theil' and 'theilen' instead of 'Teil' and 'teilen', respectively. 'thun' instead of 'tun'. etc. Can anyone point to some resources on spelling reforms that cover these changes? I have seen the odd article on Wikipedia covering various German spelling reforms, but never found anything on 'th'. Thanks. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

The spelling of these words was changed after the Orthographische Konferenz von 1901.
