If you see � �� (もじばけ) in your post, you have to edit them out. Click edit, put a few spaces where the problem occurred, then replace the missing characters. Or just press enter there and continue your message on a new line.

I always put a (roman) space after a punctuation mark or a は, が, を etc. particle if
the sentence is still kind of long. That's a decent way to avoid 文字化け on forums. Having them arbitrarily placed is kind of annoying, just if I was about to put a space in the mi ddle of an English word.

@Hiiro_Yui @stifa Yeah, I've tried adding spaces before, but that just made new question marks appear. I didn't think of using roman spaces or Enter though, that really did help. Thanks!

Using a Japanese space is just as effective as using a kani/kanja character - it doesn't solve the problem. Sometimes I wish that this site had the same nice Japanese plugin as Unilang, with proper characters and not an ugly mix of sans-serif hiragana and serif-kanji, as well as mozibake.
