The Lord's Prayer is a classic while studying languages. Once I read that it's the only text translated into every languages of the world (seems a bit exagerated).
Here goes the text in Gothic, a beautiful Germanic language. The þ reads like th in think and J reads like I. You didn't write which language this is. My guess would be Occitan, but maybe not not the regular dialect which I have seen before. Then I checked through Google and yes, it is Aranés, the Occitan dialect that is used in one single Spanish valley. @ Satoshi: You could have tried putting an English translation so that I could understand what you were saying. As you can see, I haven't studied Portuguese at all. But thanks to Google Translate, I understood what you wrote, and personally agree completely with your second sentence.
