Hi!
I want to start learning Spanish and I would like to know which language learning
materials I should use. I'm well aware that the Internet is full of language learning
materials, but I would like to stick to those ones, which the majority finds to be most
useful.
For German I really liked Pimsleur and Michael Thomas and I would like to do the same
for Spanish. Later on I used podcasts (from Deutsche Welle) which were video or audio
with transcripts + explanations. Those podcasts also included a soap opera about a
Brazilian girl moving to Germany to study, which I found to be very useful, since I'm a
student who moved to Germany to study. I also watched other soap operas in German and I
find that to be very effective for learning everyday communication.
This is also my current goal for Spanish - to be able to have everyday conversations
with my Spanish friends. That's why I'd like to watch similar stuff, which also has a
transcript, or use other materials which could help me achieving this. But, of course,
any other materials you find particularly useful are also
welcome. You can write anything here which you find useful for learning Spanish (tips,
books, forums... anything).
Thanks!
