Thanks for the post AlOlaf! Great to hear it's inspiring.

Are you joining TAC 2014? I think there will be a Scandinavian team again.

Yeah I'll be a part of the Scandinavian Team again.

And i have gotten great news last Friday. I finally got a call from Migrations Verket to
let me know that I will be getting my Uppehållstillstånd. Which means that I will pretty
much have the same rights a Swedish citizens. Which means that I can soon start my SFI! I
have already been past their office a few weeks ago to talk about it and they said I
could start in SFI-D the moment I'd have a personnummer or tillståns.

Many good things to write about in TAC2014! Now it's time to watter 1900 words on
Memrise, yey!

Hey, that's great! I'll be very interested to hear about your Swedish language training.

Held og lykke!

I have watched all Portkod 1321 episodes on SVT past 2 days and it went great. It was a
bit fast in the beginning and a bit hard to understand it without subtitles but after the
first episode I was used to it and had no problem following it at all.

Going to start watching all the episodes of 1-av-24?tab=program&sida=3">Julkalendern now. Will watch all of them twice. First
with subtitles and then without.

Thanks Emme for the sources!

You’re welcome!

I too have tried alternating watching a series with and without subtitles and I find it to be an excellent method to improve comprehension and vocabulary.

I even went a step further: I first watched an episode without subtitles to see what I could understand on my own, then I watched again with subtitles to get the most out of the content and finally one more time without subtitles to try and fix everything in my mind (well, not everything of course, but as much as possible). It works great, but it takes up quite a lot of time.

Enjoy the Julkalendern and let’s hope it’s not too childish this year (I haven’t started watching it yet).

I've seen the first 2 episodes of Julkalendern and it's pretty childish but o'll work my
way through it.

I'm also just 30 pages away from finishing Harry Potter and have 2 new books ready. Will
probably finish 1 of them quite fast since i'm travelling up north next week which means
i got a 12 and 16 hour train ride coming up. Nice time to study :)

Ah what a lovely hungover Saturday. Spend it watching 10 episodes of Julkalendern so I
actually made it a useful day as well. Going to catch up with 'watering' my words on
Memrise tomorrow. It's a total of 2000 words I have to do so that will probably take a
few hours. Fun fun fun!
