Well it has been about five months since I last wrote. Sometimes life really gets in the way!
I got a job as a programmer recently, so that has been taking up most of my time these days, but I reserve my daily hour of commute time for listening to either French or Spanish radio shows and speak each language several times a week. I have been attending a nice Spanish meetup on Saturdays. At yesterday's meetup I met a true polyglot: he was born in Haiti to French and Italian parents, then went to school in the U.S., then lived for several years each in Spain, Turkey, and Taiwan, learning those country's languages as he went! I'm still planning to take up Italian in the new year. It will be a bear trying to fit it in to my schedule but I'm ready to try. 1 person has voted this message useful |
