Hello everyone, I'm interested in learning standard Chinese. I've come up to two courses:
DLI and FSI. What do you think which one is better or is there any better one? Thanks

I've had a look at FSI. It has nine (!) modules which will keep you busy for months even if you study full-time, and I have yet to see any other free resource that can take you further.

The older DLI course teaches simplified characters and has more material than the FSI version. I did the initial portions of the DLI CBT course which seemed quite good. That said, everyone has their personal preferences so you may have to try different materials before settling on one.

I haven't had a look at DLI, but if it's true that it also teaches simplified characters, that could very well be a good alternative to the regular FSI. I'm all for exploring several courses and methods, so if you have the time and patience you could do both (at the same time or in sequence).

I think it might have traditional characters instead.
