Well, showing a lovely foreign accent can work with ladies, but I find it less efficient with work. I don't want to be the

Does it really work with ladies? Or rather with guys?
I've heard it repeatedly that some people find foreign accents attractive but I thought it is kind of an urban legend or stuff from the american tv :-D Might be funny to try to develop French accent in English (for example) to sound sexier. And weird. P.S. it isn't so much of a nonsense. A friend of mine is Czech and lives in Germany since her 12 or 13 years of age. And she learnt French and English at German school. And Latin. So, she does have German accent in the other languages, despite not having lost her native language. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

I was thinking that having a foreign accent will cause the interlocutor to switch, but
since it is English, I doubt that that would happen. When I first started Spanish and Portuguese, I took them concurrently during secondary school, and I had the accent of the other--Portuguese accent in Spanish, Spanish accent in Portuguese. When I went to Iberia, they probably thought that that was odd for a non-native speaker, but they were nice anyway... 1 person has voted this message useful | |

@Cavesa, I don't know, I heard from many Italian girls that Spanish accent in Italian is really charming and
contributes to give the "Hispanic charme". I heard that Italian accent is considered sexy applied to German and Italians are considerate charming in that Country. Again, nothing of scientific :) But still, foreign accent in my personal opinion is not good for business. 1 person has voted this message useful |
