I am afraid I have already turned to another course for the alphabet, and it seems a nice course too (colloquial hebrew). I was hoping to use only FSI, but maybe it will not be possible. In fact I was hoping for only one course, whatever that would be, but I can't choose only one!
I am definitely continuing with FSI though.
We'll see how everything goes. The only thing I want, is to find a routine and not give up!

renaissancemedi , it's ok to switch between courses. I go through as many textbooks as
necessary for each stage in order to consolidate my knowledge, even though I keep adding
new information throughout the process, either through SRS or native material, for
example. When you can't find the explanation of a book to be enough, you can always try a
new one. If I were to study Hebrew now, I would make sure to find a method that worked
for me regarding the alphabet. I know that Assimil alone isn't enough.
What may me harmful is when you get lost in the search for new resources and never get
down to actually trying them, or when you spend too much time on beginner's issues.

Thanks for that comment. I could't agree with you more. I am more or less settled now, and I want to go beyond beginner as soon as possible.

ΑΠΟ ΞΕΝΟ ΤΟΠΟ-ÜSKÜDARA GİDER İKEN
A beautiful version of the same song
Turkish
Rereading TY first unit, being in FSI second unit and checking out TY 1990s. Listening to songs, watching films/tv, and recognising the odd word and suffix here and there. It feels good!
French
Je continue avec mon livre des verbes. Pas assez vite, malheureusement.
Russian
I have stopped at the second lesson of assimil, and I need to pick up the pace.
Hebrew
Trying to learn how to read print letters as effortlessly as possible, before I move on to cursive. In the meantime I am listening to FSI first and second unit. Picking up words here and there. By the time I am confident with the alphabet I will consider it a great progress. Hebrew has claimed my time lately, but it's natural, being a bit of an effort, alphabet and all.
