I have had much fun reading many language logs here, and now I decided to keep one
myself. :) Currently I am learning Korean while trying to improve German. I will be
making new short-term learning plans every 3 months.

DEUTSCH
took a 9-month intensive course at a language school between 2008 and 2009 || now self
studying it || goal: by the end of 2016 I hope to be able to hold decent conversations
and understand most of the contents from books and TV shows.

Learning plan for Oct / Nov / Dec 2014:

1. Wörter zur Wahl
Study 1 page per day.

2. Hueber deutsch üben series - Präpositionen
1 page per day. So far I find the most difficult thing for me in German is the
prepositions!

3. Deutsch Perfekt
I am hoping to study at least 3 articles per week.

4. I will also be reading novels, listening to audio books and watching movies&TV
series (doing the Super Challenge for German along with English).

한국어
beginner || used to study on and off, only recently started to take the learning more
seriously || the first language I try learning on my own without taking any classes
before || goal: by the end of 2016 I hope to be able to hold basic conversations and
understand at least 60% of the contents from books and TV shows.

Learning plan for Oct / Nov / Dec 2014:

1. TTMIK Level 2~4
Already finished level 1. For the rest, I will go through one level each month.

2. My Weekly Korean Vocabulary - Book 1 (from TTMIK)
One word per day, and for each word there are several of phrases and sentences
provided.

3. Glossika Mass Sentences - Fluency 1
Hoping to finish the first 1000 sentences by the end of 2014.

As the saying goes "Learning is like rowing upstream, not to advance is to drop back."
In order to advance little by little, I expect myself to study on a daily basis.

Viel Erfolg mit Deutsch und Koreanisch!

Your goal for Korean sounds ambitious, but probably doable. I was surprised how much my fellow students at a summer language course were able to learn in merely 2 years.

I'm looking forward to reading your log!
