Hello ,

I hope you are all doing well :) ..

Actually I am in need for urgent HELP !

I have posted here several months ago asking about the best
courses out there for learning German .

What happened with me that I keep distracting myself, searching from one
website to another about every course, pros and cons and up to
which level it can takes me ! I finally did nothing and studied nothing !!

Now I have decided SERIOUSLY to ignore everything and just stick to :
1) Duolingo
2) Living language complete German course
3) Assimil

Do you think, these 3 methods, can take me to B1 level
in a period of 3 months if I study 10+ hours everyday ?

If you have any better suggestion I will be really grateful ..

I hope someone here will guide me to the best method to reach
my goal, so that i can be in Germany in December to take B2 course there ..

Many Many thanks in advance ..

If I could make another suggestion, there is a whole world of material on the Deutsche Welle website, all tagged by CEFR level. Many of these materials were designed with the Goethe Institute, so they most likely have been tested on many students.

Having said that, given the limited time you have, you are smart to stop searching for courses and start working on them. But I couldn't imagine using just 3 courses for 10 hours a day. What's your study plan? How many hours and how many lessons per day on each of your courses?

I personally couldn't do it. I beleive in slow learning because I think it is also deeper learning. But if you work hard and consistently, and can really be efficient for most of your 10 hours a day, then it is certainly possible.

I don't know if you've already begun your studies, but 10+ hours a day is very difficult to maintain. I've tried it before and it's mentally fatiguing. I was only able to do 10 or more hours if I had taken a caffeine pill in the morning. Without it I start to lose focus and get frustrated. I don't know how safe or effective it would be over the long term. But I did it for a week and felt like I could study all day and I made a lot of progress.

Living Language complete and Assimil are both good enough to get you to B1. I would also suggest a separate grammar book. Living Language has more detailed grammar notes than Assimil but it should probably still be supplemented. Assimil is great because it will familiarize you with the language very quickly if done right.

I don't know much about Duolingo, so I can't really offer an opinion on that, but if you are already using LL and Assimil, then maybe it can complement your studies and be effective.
