The Mimic Method-Is it any good? | ||

I'm a newbie at learning languages so I come across a lot of programs, techniques, etc. This is mainly aimed at anyone with first hand or maybe even second hand experience with a method called the Mimic Method, which was founded by one Idahosa Ness, a polyglot from the US. This method focuses on learning the phonemes of a language via music. Now while I know he is not the first to focus on language learning utilizing music-his program sounds very interesting and goes beyond simply learning and/or listening to music in order to learn. What do you know and/or think about this Mimic Method and its effectiveness in terms of learning a language? Any and all feedback is appreciated including other similar programs. He's a nice guy, and his method is a lot better than ignoring pronunciation almost entirely, like most materials and courses do. Small amounts of it vary in their results: if you listen to his multilingual music video, his French is rather shaky - though he doesn't claim to speak it, he has used his method on it, if memory serves.
It's not a magic bullet, but you could do worse, and he clearly cares strongly about what he's doing. 2 persons have voted this message useful | |||

Thanks for the feedback, definitely helpful for me-especially given that I don't currently speak in an L2 at present.
