Days 34 – 54: super-duper-UNproductive, blaming it on the Sochi winter Olympics. I spent cada día watching as much olympic competition as humanly possible instead of engaging in any language study (though I may have soaked up “hurry hard” in 7 different languages courtesy of the curling I was addicted to watching).
Also, I was keen on seeing if I could prove or disprove the boast of Yana Churikova during the Sochi opening ceremony that in Sochi, everyone “speaks every language in the world” - not yet disproven but I remain moderately sceptical)
Back hopefully to daily studying now.

ASL version of Red Hot Chili Pepper's Can't Stop - perhaps it is just a feature of how
it was videocaptured, but the fingers at some points were just a blur.

Day 57
Spanish
PMP: Basic Spanish, lección seis - la ropa vocabulary [iI]y –AR verb
endings. In this lesson, one learns that “en el centro de la camisa de Superman,
hay una “S” enorme – ¡la “S” es para súper!” Perhaps that should be el señor
súperhombre?
FSI, Programmatic Course, unit 2. Definitely some weird government-based (and by now
outdated) brainwashing technique being tried at the end of this unit, with the very odd
random throwing of dialogue sentences and sentence fragments. I do not say this as a
criticism: my brain could likely benefit from a good scrub.
Notes in Spanish – unit 1 – just the audio.
Notes in Spanish . Giving the
free audio a try. Fun format and presenters, love their accents; some of it is a bit
challenging without access to the transcript.
ANKI – catching up on a backlog
ASL
Signwithcourtney, Beginning ASL, week 3
The initial videos for week 3 constitute a review of material from weeks 1 & 2, and it
is apparent there is some video material missing from week 2 (the WH question words and
week 2 dialogue), but it is pretty easy to reconstruct from the week 3 comprehensive
review material.
