If a six weeks challenge can give your languages a nice boost, and Benny can claim fluency after twelve weeks, what would studying a language for a hundred weeks do for you proficiency. I’m going to find out. My plan isn’t to study the same language for 100 weeks, but to rotate between various languages, until I reach 100 weeks in one of them. My minimal weekly study will be twenty hours but I’m hoping to average at least twenty five.
The second part of the challenge is consistency. For each week I’m focused on one language, I’ll try and study at least half an hour in all the others. This should hopefully prevent severe degradation. I’ve started the challenge on 1st February 2014. This will be a long one.
