Hi!
Is it possible to use songs for learning Russian? Songs poetic lingo is not for casual speaking of course, but if you like the song you are ready to listen to it many times and that's good. I think music definitely helps a little for the reasons you stated. It's not a substitute for more conventional input, but it is a great side quest in the learning process.

Sure, songs are good input, but can it provide a real language intake? I have an idea of

Yes! Of course it could!!!
And it could also be used with "Learn with Text"(LWT) As stated by lichtrausch, Songs are not as good as real conversational input, but they still are input.
