Hi everyone,

I've just come back home (to the US) after studying abroad in Spain for six months. I have one year of college left
and I'm starting to think about what I might what to do after graduating. I received an email from my academic
advisor about an opportunity working as an English-Spanish court interpreter in Philadelphia, where I live. It seems
like a great and interesting opportunity but I don't know much about it. Has anyone on here ever worked as a court
interpreter? How was it? Did you enjoy your work?

I have never worked in the industry but part of my Uni course involved law. I found the whole thing to be quite dry and mind numbingly boring.

Chair polishers complicating language trying to justify their jobs. I found it quite similar to those that proclaim actions *cough* I mean 'TPR' as this great new language learning thing and giving long horrible names for the same reason.

Eggcluck I don't understand how your post is at all related to Taps's question.

Yes, I saw that but the job that Taps is describing will have little to nothing to do with your experience taking a law class.

Law is law, he would still be spending hours buried in law books and staring at legal documents.

Actually the job Taps is describing is interpreting witness testimony and aside from being located in a court room will have little to do with law.

Actually no where in the question was that mentioned. A lot has been infered from a general statement.
