But note that the German edition (below) contains more and newer info]. The Nordic Languages - Their Status and Interrelations. Vikør, L.S. Oslo: Novus Forlag, 1995. (Nordisk Språksekretariat, Oslo, Publ. 14). ISBN: 82-7099-230-5. [Modern, but not an overall general survey if I remember correctly]. German Die skandinavischen Sprachen. Note that for Wessén, De Nordiska Språken, there is a 7th edition from 1965.
