Has anyone read the books of Timothée de Fombelle? He has two series which are prominent on Amazon.co.uk: Tobie Lolness and Vango. They are available in French, German and English, but it is interesting that there only seem to be audiobooks in German.

I came across his books by clicking on suggestions on Amazon, and found that I own (but haven't read) a collection for jeunes adultes which includes him as well:
Nouvelles contemporaines - Regards sur le monde

Any opinions on any of these books? Are they good for advanced beginners?
