My students in Thailand would say "ฮะ?" [há] meaning "huh?" but "ha" 3rd tone is the
number 5 and they write 555+ on facebook meaning " hahaha"

We would spell it "hæ" but it is basically the same sound.

If a Norwegian gets a surprizing verbal message, he can say "å" (pronounced "oh" with a rising tone), implaying surprize, and can be translated as "really?"
