Some Wikipedia articles are indeed translations of articles in other languages, and even when this isn't the case the level of similarity may be enough to learn new vocabulary and topic-specific expressions (and Wikipedia is excellent for that purpose), but it is an exception that you can treat two language specific versions as an original with its translation. One further caveat: when to versions are parallel one or both of the versions is/are mostly in a minor language with few contributors, which could mean that it/they aren't written and checked by people with a vast knowledge about the topic in question.
