I'd like a newbie session. I feel pressure to speak in Skype sessions but my Russian just
isn't up to it yet. Hope you're all having fun and studying hard. What time will the next
Sunday session be? There's a chance I might participate.

I would be up for a newbie session, too. I'm not an HTLAL newbie, but I'm a Russian newbie, and a Skype newbie. :)

I'm in for sessions during workdays, as well. Better in the evenings UTC time.

We haven't decided yet. Usually we wait a couple weeks for the next one, it depends. Once
I figure out I want to hold one I will just post it here. Important thing is to watch
this thread because I'll announce it either directly or indirectly. I am usually the one
planning these things.

Maybe others can set up other sessions, tarvos.
If this can be done through an iPad, I volunteer. (Though I don't know any Russian yet).

If they want to set them up themselves, they are of course free to, and announce it here.
Experience shows that nobody actually does that though, that's why we decided to have me
in charge. But feel free to do it on your own :)

I know what you mean. I think it's wise to set up a time and see who can join. If you
wait for everyone to opine on which time is better, you'll never go anywhere ^^
EDIT: typo

It looks like there are eight of us signed up with Russian for the 6WC. I've finally started working with Russian (after a rather rough non-start for January), and I'm going to be focusing on the 1950s Assimil Russian without Toil, and complementing it with Michel Thomas. I don't have any plans of "focusing" on Russian for the next six weeks, but if I can get into the habit of doing 30-45 minutes a day consistently, I will be happy.
I'm also using the Super Challenge as an incentive for this. I signed up for the Half Super Challenge for Russian, which is films/audio only. I am going to count my listening time (not other study time, though) for the SC. If I can rack up 150 hours of focused listening for the year, I will consider that a success. :)
