The short version is that I'm probably a solid A0 in both, in terms of active skills, and I decided there's no point in writing in Swedish with pseudo-Danish/Norwegian spelling, which by the way, would have been a stretch with my current abilities. The challenge is a fun idea, however, and I think it's worth revisiting in say three or six months. Are you in, Jeff? ;-) |

Am I in? For writing in "fake" Da/No? :D Maybe I'll come up with something later this evening.... |

I was actually talking about setting a deadline for completing the challenge without any gimmicks, since we're letting ourselves off the hook this time. But don't let me ruin your mojo if you're up for it already now. I'm sure it would make for some entertaining reading.

OK, no Scandiranto post from me. :) I'm going to use some resources for the challenge, but I'm not sure about how formal the study sessions will be.

Me as a teamleader???
Already two people suggested me to become the team leader of team Viking. Unfortunately, I don't want to become the team leader, because I already have so many regular internet activities: moderator work on HTLAL, work as a podcast co-producer on LingQ, You Tube activist, writer of my own language blog, very active on Facebook, active on Twitter, participant in internet hangouts on Google+, Skypie - and last but not least a regular writer of my Danish log.
So I am already full with internet activities!
My suggestion: Teamleader should be a person, who doesn't drop out so easily during the whole TAC - year 2013.

I do not have a vote here, but in my humble opinion, the best leader is the one who takes initiatives and starts the team off - in your case Julie. I would pick her. I know from my own experience that you need someone who is able to rally people and give a gentle nudge when needed.

a og * gir å
a og e gir æ
o og / gir ø
o og ~ gir õ
Hvilket onlinet ordbok bruker dere?

That's a good way of doing it. Another way, and a way which some may perhaps find easier, is the way I use (using your numeric keypad):
Alt + 0248 = ø
Alt + 0230 = æ
Alt + 0229 = å
also:
Alt + 0197 = Å
Alt + 0216 = Ø
Alt + 0198 = Æ
These soon become "muscle memory", especially the lower-case ones (believe me).
