Same here. Estonia was my favorite, too. And I thought Bosnia was good, too. The thing about songs in Serbocroatian is that I understand just enough for me to think the lyrics may be profound, and at the same time I don't understand enough to be disappointed. I know this song from Sicko, Michael Moore's latest movie. This song is used in one of the scenes where he discusses health care in France. Lindsay19, you are by far my favorite person of the day. Yay Swedish music!
Has anyone else noticed the propensity for Swedish music to be either super happy and gleeful or some of the heaviest metal? I mean, contrast Suburban Kids with Biblical Names with Amon Amarth (both sing in English, unfortunately [except SKWBN has one song in Swedish]). I know Säkert has already been mentioned here, but here is another song by them that is definitely not happy or gleeful at all Säkert! - Det var tre månader sedan idag. If you know any Swedish or can find a translation of the song "Vi kommer att dö samtidigt, du och jag" (I think there is a link to it in somewhere in this thread, but it's a few pages back)you'll notice that the title means "we will die at the same time, you and I". This can hardly be called cheerful, though the song is more humorous than depressing. Here's another example Vapnet Plötsligt händer det inte. That's true, but even "Vi kommer att dö samtidigt" sounds sooo poppy and happy (although the music video is a little disturbing).
