Dear Prof,
Thank you for your advice. I am doing self-correction using this method for now: 1) I have books on French phonetics and French orthography.I used the phonetic book to correct my way of pronuncing words and to differentiate the similiar sounds like é and è. I use the orthography book to associate the pronunciation to the spelling of the word. Both books come with the CDs recorded by native speakers, which is essential to get a proper correction. 2) I will do self-dictation, to ensure that I can make sense of the words that I have heard. 3)I will read out loud the passages from my books. Most of them do not have audio versions, so it has to be done last. This is going to be a painful and long process, but I hope it works. This is also going to be time consuming and I might have to slow down a bit on some things. As for your suggestion to find a professional trainer, I think it will be diffcult for me, especially when I will have been back in Singapore this coming autumn.
