Hampie,
It didn't come as a surprise that this is not your thing :) even metal-heads I know
don't
quite like this stuff. To each his own I guess. Anyway, it seems this song has a quite
obscure meaning, though I'm still enyoing the words :)
Unfortunately I have quite a hard time finding any metal/rock bands singing in swedish,
as it is usually all in English except for folk/black metal (like this). In other
bands, the lyrics are growled completely, which makes it nigh impossible to understand.
Is there anything you have heard that is sung in swedish and is not just pop music? I
would greatly appreciate any recommendations (doesn't need to be pure metal).
Iversen, thanks for your interest and the Spanish translation, though it doesn't make
it any easier to understand :)

If the translations had been clear I would have betrayed the obscure original (which is correctly rendered on that site).

I don’t juge you — man — I enjoy Dolly Parton :P
If you can endure unhealthily patriotic lyrics, there are plenty of — to most Swedes considered racist — bands that
sing in Swedish. Ultima Thule are quite okay and not too edgy in that way. If one understand the lyrics they can,
due to their extremeness, be quite entertaining. One has to keep in mind, though, that what in many other con
tries and cultures are seen as entirely normal, is in Sweden viewed as racist i.e.: wearing Swedish flags outside
sports, sining the national anthem unless it’s graduation day, talking about Sweden in any way begin supreme over
other cultures, etc. etc. It’s a very complex thing and hard to explain to someone, but, in the states for example, I
get that you can buy a lot of things with the stars and stripes on them, and that people use them, people say God
bless America! And thins like ‹This is America!›. Things with flags on here are made for tourists only. Ugh.. sorry
for wandering off :P.
