Does anyone know of any good authors/books? I'm looking for something that uses a lot of colloquial language and sayings, like a Spanish version of Fred Vargas.
I know of Montalban, but I've never read any of his books so I'm not sure if the colloquialisms are there or not.
Thanks

I can recommend Eduardo Mendoza. I
must admit I don't know Fred Vargas, but Mendoza, whose crime stories take place in Barcelona, mixes
different styles, including use of colloquial language.
