Dear friends,
I am sometimes a bit annoyed when I want to write a sentence or look up a word in an online dictionary and I have to copy/paste a special character from somewhere else. I know there is Google Input Tools and other sites, but I wanted a more convenient system, and one system that would be equally valid for all languages written with the Latin alphabet and romanization systems such as Pinyin. So I created a small Javascript program that renders special characters with two- character combinations. For example, á is rendered as a/, ñ is rendered as n$ , ş is rendered as s{ , ā is rendered as a[ , etc. In case it might be useful or curious for someone, it's explained here: http://latinalphabetextensions.blogspot.com.es/ You might need to have a Unicode font such as Arial Unicode MS to see all characters correctly. For me it works correctly in Chrome and Firefox. Example sentences from four languages Croatian: Z<elim da danas izad+es< rano Želim da danas izađeš rano Latvian: Uz redze[s<anos! Uz redzēšanos!
