Fasulye, you are right to note the extent to which Amir is capable of joining in multilingual Skype chats. My experience of Amir reflects your appraisal of his ability. Amir is managing to do study all of these languages, and improve his level, whilst studying full time for his (non-language related) degree in Canada in English. All I can say is "chapeau". Amir, it is always a pleasure to talk to you on Skype. I particularly appreciate your guidance in Russian when we speak together. You have a kind and encouraging manner in your approach to helping others. I think this thread is a nice way to celebrate you and your achievements in languages. Good job my friend! :)

He is awesome. I think he's doing a great job with the pronounciation of Spanish for instance. He's got much less of a problem with accents than most.
He speaks at least 4 languages to a good standard and a few more less well.
Interesting to hear what Kazakh sounded like; a bit like Turkish, I thought.

That's not surprising because both languages, Kazakh and Turkish, belong to the Altaic language group. Amir told me that because of this language similarity he could understand quite a lot of the Turkish dialogues, which I read aloud in my You Tube video.

I have watched all of Amirs videos and I have been very impressed by his command of the languages in which he spoke. As a native speaker of German I can attest to his excellent skills in German. It is always difficult to judge a person's abilities by a few videos, but then the real question is "do we really need to judge them"? Amir obviously enjoys studying languages and as far as I can tell he is doing a great job. He also seems to be a very likeable person (I haven't had the pleasure yet to talk to him personally on skype but I hope I'll be able to do so in the near future). He is totally unpretentious and ready to offer help to other language learners and that's an attitude I really like.

Robert, it's fun talking with Amir on Skype and he really likes to practise his German. What gives me the kick in these conversations is that Amir all of a sudden changes the language of the conversation and then we both continue in the next language. He does this in an instant of second and I just adapt to the next language, so we both play the game of changing languages very quickly. You can also discuss some more in depth topics with him, so skyping with him is really interesting.
