so basically I'm looking for any recommendation you might have for a beginner - intermediate level reader (although I'll take harder ones as well if you can't think of any easy ones).
if it's not to much to ask, it could be nice if you could add some additional information such as : its estimated level, where / in what form is it available and why did you recommend it : content-wise, instructional value... I don't know about Norwegian but the Little Prince is an easy, good book in any language.

I'd recommend "Naiv. Super" by Erlend Loe. It's a really great, funny story (about a young man having an existential crisis), and I think the language and the length make it fairly accessible for an intermediate learner.
For something slightly easier, I'd also recommend you check out Lettlest Forlag (www.llf.no, then click on Katalog 2011). They have a range of Norwegian easy readers - both simplified versions of ordinary novels (including a few by Henning Mankell) and specially written titles. There's also quite a few non-fiction titles (including biographies of Henrik Ibsen and Sigrid Undset). We have a selection of these books at the school where I work (I teach Norwegian as a second language), and have always received positive feedback on them from my learners.
