I just found this list from Le Monde of the 100 Books of the Century.
There is everything on here: graphic novels, plays, poetry, theory, and novels. It is wonderfully different than most Anglo-centric lists I see. I'll be adding a lot of the French novels and comics to my own Super Challenge list, and I'd love to hear what people's experiences or thoughts are of any of these in their native language!

Interesting list! Of note, from the link you provided, it appears the ranking was not
necessarily a listing of the "best" works from the last century, but rather a ranking
in response to the question " Quels livres sont restés dans votre mémoire?
(Which books have stayed in your memory?), which is a more interesting approach than
looking for subjective opinions as to which are the "best" works.
I am delighted to see Borges Ficciones mentioned (the main reason I would like
some day to learn Spanish is to give Borges a try in the original Spanish). I am also
thrilled (on the sad occasion of his death) to see that Ray Bradbury made the list -
his The Martian Chronicles is the main reason why at one time I wanted to learn one of
the aboriginal Martian languages, at least before learning (spoiler alert) that this
would no longer be useful.

Interesting indeed. As always, such lists are necessarily subjective. It seems that no author is represented with more than one title, so in that sense, it can be seen just as much as a list of the 100 most important writers of the 20th century. In some cases I would have chosen another work of the same author. For example, from the works of Thomas Mann I would rank "Doctor Faustus" above "Der Zauberberg" as a book that has stayed in my memory.
