Well this is it, the beginning of my study of language.
I am doing this, as I presume many others have done before, to help signify the start of this journey. I as a lowly monoglot wish to expand my own horizons and learn another, if not multiple languages.
Now to the details,
Currently I am developing my understand of the French language. Being from Canada, and conducting much business in Quebec, I feel I owe it to my customers to be well versed if not fluent in their language.
I have had French classes up to highschool, as well as a French relative. My verbal understanding is okay and lack any real vocabulary.
My current learning resources:
Rocket Language French
Living language French Book plus a few old audio CD’s (I am getting more from the book alone)
A French step-father (Both have limited time to work together)
So that is the current stage I am at. Again, I am using this as a marker for myself to where I have begun, but please feel free to share you wisdom, your experience and any suggestions you may have for me.
After French and I can assure you I will begin another journey to become a polyglot. Perhaps Spanish, since its similar to French, or German.
Any input is welcome
regards
