Well, of course if you are advanced you should not register. But in my case it's wrong to say that I'm beginner in just
one aspect of the language. I understand Spanish not because I studied it a lot but just because I'm Italian.
Therefore I can follow conversations about abstract topics with advanced vocabulary but I don't have any idea about
how to ask the time or conjugate the simplest of the verbs at the first singular person of the present tense, so I feel
beginner enough :D |

OK. Too bad! Spanish is the only language I can drown myself in for hours and not feel sick...
Btw, an FAQ:
Starts 1st November 00:01 your local time
Ends 12th December 23:59 your local time
It ends 12th December 23:59 your local time regardless of when you started. |

Silly question...
If we move to a different time zone during the challenge, do we lose/gain time? Or can we pick one local time for the entire duration of the challenge?

German for the Xth time!
But I hope nothing comes into the challenge for change. No exams planned, no travels, knocking on wood so that nothing bad unexpected arises..

I've always assumed you end it at midnight in your new timezone, whether it happens to be ahead or behind. The travelling times/fatigue will tend to even it out anyway.

I'm new to the forum and the 6 week challenge, but I'm going to try for French. I'm a complete beginner at this particular language, so it should be a fun experiment to see how far I can get by the end of the challenge. I'll try my best! Good luck to everyone!

Welcome to the forum linguchan and good luck with the challenge! :)
I'll be signing up with Cantonese again. It seems that I am going more backwards than
forward in this language, mostly because German takes up so much of my time. But I'll try
to set aside some time for Cantonese as well.
