It's up to you. And maybe depends on the music, too - some songs have long instrumental sections and others don't.

It's not a rule, but just how I decided to deal with it. There's some certain amount of time when it's just the music, but I am not insane enough to count time that precise. Sometimes I logged music full-time - like when I was trying to sing along or just reading lyrics carefully. As for counting full/ half attention - I never did that with music. I guess I thought 1/3 contains that point already.
The point is that you evaluate this stuff all by yourself. For example, there was a rule/ an advice to log movies watched with subtitles only divided by two, but I don't agree with that and log it full-time even in English now - I am paying attention to the language anyway.

I ended up logging one third - when listening actively. Sometimes when I listen to music I just tune out, and
then obviously I would not log anything, and in order to log full time I would have to sit down and listen and
write down words.

I wasn't sure whether to take part, as I'm still recovering from recently being sick. However, as I'm almost back to normal, I decided to register with Irish. It's the language I love the most and which I really want to improve during the next six weeks.
Good luck to everyone and beirigĂ bua!

I've got a lot of days off coming up, so I'm hoping to make some big jumps. And I'm
already experiencing both the ups and downs that I remember from the last time I did a
6WC challenge:
The good stuff:
- Thanks to timing everything I know exactly how long it takes me to read 20 pages in
French (I can do it over lunch) and Italian (it takes me all week).
- The graphs are a good reality check: I wasn't spending as much time reading as I
thought, and I was watching far more tv.
- It helps me keep a good balance between Assimil, regular courses, and super-
challenge stuff, as well as a balance between Italian and French.
Not so good:
- It's easy to get obsessive with this (i.e., start stopwatch, practice anki, stop
watch, log onto twitter, start timer for twenty minutes, read Assimil, etc ...

The 6WCBOT is no longer updating my stats when I Tweet updates. I've waited several hours now with no
updates. Has anyone had this happen before? I note that others' stats are being updated so I don't believe it
is a system-wide issue, and I am having no problem with the Super Challenge Bot updating correctly. I have
emailed the admin for assistance, but I thought someone else may have previously had this problem and
corrected it. Would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks in advance.
