So, my goal is to reach French B1 level in 6 months. Not only an imaginary level but
actually getting the Delf certificate.

I will study by myself.

A little about my history with the French language: I have studied French ten years
ago for one semester, since that time I have bought some books and I always had it in
the back of my mind that someday I would get to learn it properly. My mother language
is Portuguese, so the grammar is very similar, thank God! lol

First I will use Pimsleur and Assimil for a re-introduction to the French phonemes and
then will dive into studying grammar.

This log will serve as way to keep a record of it and also to connect with people that
have been (or are) trough this same road, maybe you have some tips for me concerning
how to study it.

Hi,Linguarudo

welcome to the forums!

I wish you a lot of success and fun.

A sidenote: vast majority of this community has moved to http://forum.language-learners.org (due to repeated technical problems of this forum, even though we still love it, still treasure this archive, and value it highly) so you might like to consider founding your log there. But some of us still keep coming here.

Pimsleur and Assimil are a good start. I'm looking forward to reading about your journey.

Hi there, Linguarudo!
I am pretty much in the same boat as you, although I expect to take longer to get to a B1
level.
Good luck!
