Here is my best attempt at explaining how to pronounce the letter ř which many linguists believe is unique to Czech.

I have uploaded two more videos, with recommendation for resources for learning Czech grammar.
The first video reviews textbooks and reference grammars.
The second video examines a set of books and associated audio that are based around the many-sentences method of grammar absorption.

Hi Splog, I just wanted to say I have watched half a dozen of your video's and found them
to be both very informative and well presented. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for watching, and thanks for the kind feedback. It is feedback like this that keeps me motivated to make more videos. Much appreciated.

Hello,
I have added a new video to my Youtube channel, continuing the series about conversational connectors.
This time, the video talks about filler connectors - which help get over uncomfortable gaps, gives you thinking time, and creates a more conversational feel for even very short sentences.
As always, much of it is specific to Czech, but I hope some of it will be pretty language-independent.
Cheers
Splog

I added a new video giving an overview of how I have benefited from the SCOLA News Site - which is a fantastic website for, among other things, bilingual transcriptions of news broadcasts (plus audio and video in the original language).

A dissatisfied viewer told me he though my youtube site is rubbish, because he didn't learn anything useful from it.
I decided to make a short video response to his concerns where I try to explain what the point of my youtube channel is and what people can expect to get out of it (if anything).
