Hello everybody!
My name is Silja and I'm a 23-year-old Finnish student. In my life I have studied eight languages and I'm starting on my ninth in a couple of months. In reality I only speak one of the languages (English) but I've also studies French, Spanish, Swedish, German, Danish, Italian and Mandarin. Now I am re-starting my German studies since it's been bothering me lately how much I've forgotten about it. I've studied it for five years in the past and it's been my best language after English. My method of studying is getting as much vocabulary in as possible. I have two sets of German books (one high school level and one upper), a Grammar book, Pimsleur tapes and self made flash cards. I'm also taking on a cultural immersion, meaning I'll be watching German films, listening to German music (been obsessed with Rammstein lately) and reading books. My reading skills are still surprisingly good and I already ordered a Harry Potter book in German because I know them so well that I'll know if I understand it ;) Other than that I'll be starting Icelandic over the summer/autumn since I plan on doing my work experience for school in Iceland. I study in a college of crafts and design and in my spare time I make stuff with my hands, read, listen to music, do improv theatre and work. My native language is Finnish and my English is pretty good too even if I say it myself and well, it's great to be here and hopefully I'll make friends while learning some beautiful languages :) 3 persons have voted this message useful | |

No en oo tietenkään ollut siellä :( Tampere on tosin aika lähellä? Siellä on kyllä oltu ja me tykättiin <3
Tsekkasin nyt, että meneeks juna Tampereelta Vaasaan sen kautta, harmi kun ei näytä menevän :P (molempiin kaupunkeihin toivottavasti menossa tänä kesänä:)) ja itse oon Moskovasta... suomalainen "kotikaupunkini" on kai Kuopio, kun oon siellä tosi monta kertaa ollut:) 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Joo ei Ikaalinen ole kuin 50 km Tampereelta :) Ja jos oot Vaasaan menossa niin bussi Tre-Vaasa menee Ikaalisten
läpi ;) Kun ei täällä juna-asemaakaan ole. Mä en ole vielä päässyt käymään Venäjällä, mutta jonain päivänä toivottavasti. Kuopiossa taas tulee käytyä melkein joka kesä. jdmoncada, thank you!
