I've read Harry Potter before in Arabic, and while I definitely enjoyed it, I can't
say its entertaining enough to read again in German, despite the fact I have some
familiarity with the story. That said, Harry Potter is a prime candidate for L-R
method, native audio and texts being available.
I'll definitely pick up PONS DE-EN for my Kindle, it's only 10$ so I've 90$ left :)
Does anyone know of some other good LR resources for German?
I'm looking into IMX too.

Thanks for the nudge patrickwilken :) I've joined Rätsel for TAC 2015.
In the end I've decided to sit on the money for now. Likely I'll spend it on
Audible+Kindle books for bilingual listening-reading in a few months.
Here is my TAC LOG

Hugo German in 3 months. Get it used (book only). Should only set you back $5 or so.

I recommend using Lingq through a free account. You won't have access to the vocabulary tools or the community
tutors, but the library of learner and native materials with audio recordings is worth checking out.
