Then, in the spirit of recommending something that sounds lovely to me, I say Persian.

What about Croatian rakija? Especially borovnička (blueberry-flavored rakija) is delicious. Or if you don't like blueberries, what about šljivovica (plum), kruškovac (pear), višnjevac (cherry), loza (grape), or even medica (honey) or orahovica (walnut)? There are just so many Croatian drink options! Karlovačko and Ožujsko beer aren't bad either.

Persian would be fun, but as I've been considering dabbling in it myself, I must cast my vote for Swahili. Not sure quite what it is, but something keeps pulling me towards it.

Ah, but have I not mentioned Serbian? But I will learn both sides of the coin. One and
the other. Like yin and yang.
The Persians may have had a great civilization, but what did they drink? You must tell
me, or I shall needs move my interest to prohibition and cut myself off from all
alcoholic content, dry as the desert from whence civilization came.

Then take Armenian. Not only for the wine, but even more so for their famous "cognac", it was actually Churchill's favourite, he found it much better than the French stuff of the same name.
Besides, they have a cool writing system. What more can you ask for?

Armenian.
Apart from wine they're apparently making a fantastic cognac/brandy. (Russian Wikipedia)
EDIT: Ogrim was about 6 minutes faster...
