I've been playing with the Miss Hopper's simultaneous listening system. One listens to the same story in more than one language at a time. The Little Prince has been even more pleasant with this method.
Whether one does simultaneous listening or not, I thought it would be useful to have a thread that has links to various versions of the audiobook and story. Hopefully we'll get several languages represented here. French Wordtheque has a delightful recording of Le Petit Prince. French was the original language of the book. Esperanto There is more than one pdf of La Eta Princo on the net. Spanish Alba at Learning to Learn Languages has a pleasant recording of El Principito. Good idea. One of the thoughts I've had about the method concerns the added benefit one might receive from using the same text as a foundation in several languages.
I'm currently gathering different versions of A Christmas Carol to try this. With regards to The Little Prince... Spanish Laura from LeerEscuchando has El Principito here as well - including a link to the translation she reads. Japanese From the audiobook thread, sheetz provides this link to 星の王子さま In addition, texts in several Romance, Slavic, and Germanic languages are available here. 2 persons have voted this message useful | |||

I'm also looking for a German version. I haven't been able to find any version in Russian and Mandarin either (text+audio). Anybody?

No problem at all, the Russian text says something like:
"Download file "Little Prince" part 1 All the musical files placed on the site and which you want download, are presented only for acquaintance." (rough translation by online software) Right-click on the header and "save target as...". :) * Скачать песню ""Маленький принц" часть 1" Все музыкальные файлы, размещенные на сайте и которые вы хотите скачать, представлены только для ознакомления. 1 person has voted this message useful |
