I was just forwarded a link for what I think is an extremely cool project, It's the reading of the entire classic, Don Quixote de la Mancha, in its original language.
It can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/elquijote
Wouldn't it be great if all the world's great literature were read like this?

I saw it a month and a half ago and am well impressed by the project to "open-source" the world to read Don Quixote. I posted it here and got few replies. Anyone learning Spanish who'd like to get a feel for different accents in Spanish should spend a few minutes listening and watching- cabalgando con el famoso hidalgo, don Quixotte de la Mancha, de nuevo en el internet.
It's a shame that English doesn't have an academy to sponsor a world-wide reading of Shakespeare or Dickens showcasing the diversity of regional accents in English. Npt just English- it would be really cool to hear the world read Voltaire in French, Dante in Italian, Sun-Tzu in Chinese, Tolstoy in Russian and Goethe in German. Maybe that could be a project someone here could get rolling?
