http://listen.rbc.cn/
Somewhere I have links for Taiwan and Singaporean Mandarin radio ....probably bookmarked on the laptop that is being currently being fixed.

A good mainland drama is 奋斗, it's set in Beijing so they sometimes have pretty thick accents. It's very popular
among young 20-somethings in Beijing

Actually the mainland have more good serials and movies than Taiwan, you can search them on line and you will find them easily , which are standard Chinese, good luck !

I don't know how useful they'd be for learning Mandarin, but I love movies from the
Taiwanese director Tsai Ming-liang, especially 河流 "The River" and 天邊一朵雲 "The Wayward
Cloud".

Most of the ethnic Chinese people I know who were not born in China or Taiwan tend to be more familiar with TV programmes from Taiwan than mainland China. Taiwanese dramas and variety shows have been better publicised and are more widely available.

The Taiwanese accent is a little on the flat side, but is really not all that different from many Southern Chinese accents. The language on Taiwanese TV shows tends to be more colloquial and in my opinion easier to understand than that in mainland Chinese programmes.
