Hi. I am a 26-year old man currently residing in Los Angeles, CA. I developed an
interest in learning languages approximately 5 years ago when I was churning out a number of poems as a hobby of mine. While writing, I had a pressing desire to express myself through a different means and it dawned on me that a secondary language would be a perfect medium for that. Also, I just had a fascination with other cultures for as long as I can remember. I won't go into too much detail over the specific languages I'm learning but I've strangely been drawn to major languages that happen to be understudied as well (at least in the West). However, I've chosen Hindi, Persian, and Portuguese for particular aspects of the cultures I happen to like such as Bossa Nova, Persian literature, loving Indian cuisine and wanting to discover a part of my heritage, and so forth. Oops! I guess I better update that I'm no longer learning Portuguese due to time
constraints and just deciding to learn both Hindi and Persian to an advance level. I won't look to add any more languages until I'm at least satisfied with my Hindi level of knowledge; both active and passive.
