And I'm continuing to delve into Chinese. Mostly in trying to form longer sentences now.
I've completed like a quarter of the Assimil course and am working through new vocabulary
at a reasonably slow pace that suits me.
I also received "Was wäre wenn" in the mail today. It's xkcd's What If book, but in its
German translation. I recommend it to anyone studying German for some nice nerdy science
texts.

I also started a blog. It's multilingual. HTLAL will continue to receive updates here
about my language learning endeavours, but should you be interested in multilingual
musings about life, the universe, and everything, but particularly various topics that
concern my personal thoughts, you are welcome to take a look at
likeapolyglot
For now, there's only an introductory article, but I'm working on putting up a first
article in Russian. It's about the word tolerance (more accurately, терпимость), and what
I think of how tolerance is used as a descriptor of Dutch culture (I don't like the term
at all).

I just noticed that you have a new blog and consequently came here for a quick congratulation, and now I read that
you created a blog in this last comment of yours :D
I will read your blog posts... the ones you write in a language that I understand, of course :)
Unfortunately it is not the case of Russian, yet ;)

Jag har nu också skrivit ett inlägg på svenska:
Demokrati i
Europa
Gärna inte diskutera det här, artikeln har en politisk tendens.

By the way - I plan to regularly update that blog, especially with Russian articles but I
will also write there in my shittier languages (that is, those I do not pretend to speak
fluently). As you can see we have one Swedish article there already but I plan to write
one in Greek over the coming weeks (my Greek is horrible so we'll see how that works
out), one in Russian over the next week too. (Two articles a week seems more than enough
at this point in time, especially because I am not always writing in language I am
extremely comfortable in. Russian is one of my better languages and so is Swedish, but
Greek is a target language here and so is Portuguese and so is Hebrew and I can't really
use them as effectively).

I have written draft versions of two articles for my blog, one in Greek and one in
Portuguese. The one in Portuguese is obviously much better although it's probably
still got a fair bunch of errors (my tenses are bad in Portuguese). The reason I have
not put either of them up yet is simply because they have not been proofread yet, and
I want the eye of a native speaker to go over it before I present my clumsy offerings
in Portuguese and Greek to the world.
I am planning to write another Greek blog article before Wednesday. I will discuss the
Portuguese article tomorrow, so you should tentatively see a release of the article
tomorrow somewhere.
In other news, I had an interview for China yesterday and I hope it goes through -
maybe one day you will see me write in Mandarin! (But probably not any time soon).
