I'm currently studying in Spain, but besides the news, all I can seem to find are
American shows dubbed. I'm looking for a show or two to watch on a regular basis that's
in Spanish. Didn't know it would be that hard! haha

What are some good sitcoms, sketch shows, documentaries, dramas? Basically anything
that's not a soap opera. I like most of the NBC comedies like 30 Rock, Community, and
Parks and Rec. I live in Andalucia and get a few RTVEs, Cuatro, Canal Sur, etc

Thanks!

I really liked Hispania La Leyenda, but I don't know if there have been more seasons beyond the first. I also liked, for older shows, Spain's version of BBC's Life on Mars, La Chica de Ayer.

I don't know of any other Spanish shows, so I can't further comment.

Have a look at TVE a la carta. The shows are organized by category/genre and you can figure out which ones you'll want to watch over the air.

I also liked Hispania. It will be ending and a spin-off will continue the story. Sort of.

EspaƱoles en el mundo is a great show featuring Spaniards living abroad.

Deportes Cuatro is a Sportscenter like show that features all of the daily happenings in sport from a Spanish perspective. Obviously very futbol influenced.

There's a show that I really like called "El Barco" (The Ship/Boat). I don't live in Spain but I think it's on Antena 3. It's really interesting and well done IMO. It's a drama about this group of kids who go on one of those study programs on a boat, and while they're out in the middle of the ocean there's this catastrophe that basically destroys the world and sinks all the land, so they're the only people left in the world... or so they think.

It's got everything you could want, adventure, mystery, romance, comedy. I have been watching it online, and I'm through the first season, I think they're in the second season right now. It's interesting in and of itself but from a language learner's perspective it's great because they also have a couple of actors on the show from Latin America, so you get to hear a few different accents.

If you're in Spain the official website should work, it has all the episodes:
