I came across this website and wanted to share it with the folks here.

http://www.livelingua.com/peace-corps-language-courses.php

I haven't looked at any of the courses in depth yet. I served in Peru back from 08-10 and our language instruction was primarily native teachers, worksheets, and full immersion, at least for the students who were broken into my level of Spanish, which was upper-intermediate.

Thanks so much for posting this! I'm exploring the Guarani course right now, with Spanish as a base. This is the first site I've seen that seems to have almost all the Peace Corps material in one place.

Even though many courses are without the audio, they can still be useful to other learners. The Sranan Tongo course is the only one I've ever seen. There's even a course on the Crioulo language of Guinea Bissau, Mongolian, Ukranian and Azerbaijani. You're going to make a lot of people very happy here.

That's great that they're all in one place. Nicely laid out, too.

I've only tried the Georgian course. The audio course was so-so, but later on I was
directed to the video course which was much, much better.

I guess not all courses have video, though, and I would imagine not all courses are
equal in depth.

Great find, though!

R.

I'm very pleased it's finding happy language learners here. I've always been intrigued by "obscure" or non-traditionally studied languages...which was a big draw for me to the Peace Corps in the first place. This is a wonderful find for myself, as well.
