This is a spin-off of the "10" thread - but harder. The question is, if you could learn only 5 languages to perfect (native) fluency (reading/writing/listening/speaking), in addition to any which you already have a native or advanced fluency in, which five would you choose as of today?

Hmmm,

Oh, that's easier for me than "10" thread.
English Spanish German French The last one is kind of difficult, I'm thinking about Russian/Japanese/sth else, ex. Modern Greek. // EDIT I've just seen (well, after 2 years or so ;)) that we shouldn't include the language we already have advanced fluency in. My preferences have also changed.
