Spanish is interesting too. I bought the assimil Spanish with ease because it had 2 levels for English speakers. I think the Italian one only has 1 level.

It doesn't seem like many people are putting reasons, but to me that is the interesting part. Is I'd go for ... because ....
1) Arabic - (probably Fus'ha and Egyptian) because it is among the top 5 most widely spoken.
2) Spanish - Because it's in the top five.
3) Hindi - Because it's in the top five.
4) Xhosa or Zulu - Have wanted to travel to South Africa for many years.
5) Italian - because it is beautiful, it's like spoken music.
