Counting languages I have or am studying but never got past/haven't yet gotten past the beginner stage, I would say:
1. Mandarin 2. Japanese 3. Arabic 4. Finnish* 5. German *I really just want to learn any language from that geographical area, I'm not married to Finnish necessarily 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

I am actually living in Finland, very close to the Russian border (Lappeenranta). I am
studying my master's degree in English, but I decided long ago to not be the kind of foreginer that gets by using English only. My girlfriend is a Finn, so there goes another reason (even though she doesn't really mind whether we talk in English or Finnish). 3 persons have voted this message useful | |||
