Weekly review
Reporting back in for my weekly review. This week we headed back to visit my girlfriend's family in le Gers,
which is near Toulouse. I didn't take FiA with me mainly because I wanted to travel light... Therefore this
week my study consisted solely of assimil and memrise. The highlight of the week was visiting Carcassonne,
I'm really interested in history and unfortunately New Zealand doesn't have anything in the way of castles.
French in Action - Mid way through lesson 7.
Assimil - Lesson 29 passive wave.
Memrise - I've started a new course on memrise.
Week 3 Jan 26th-1 Feb
Min time spent: 30 minutes 54 seconds.
Max time spent: 4 hours 6 minutes.
Average time per day: 1 hour 31 minutes 34 seconds.
Weekly total: 10 hours 41 minutes.
Yearly total so far: 28 hours 58 minutes 8 seconds.

French in Action - still mid way through lesson 7.
Assimil NFWE - lesson 37 passive wave.
Memrise - 1,944 words learned.

Max time spent: 1 hour 6 minutes 14 seconds.

Yearly total so far: 35 hours 27 minutes 37 seconds.

For this review, I'm going to write in French. I know that I'm a little late with this review, but my girlfriend and I went to Germany from Friday to Monday. We saw some of my friends that live Frankfurt and Nuremberg. So.. I only took Assimil NFWE with me and I managed to do 1 lesson per day, so I'm happy because it was a very busy weekend. I like Germany for a number of reasons, firstly because I love the German language and secondly because I lived in Germany.
This week is my last week in France, so I have the goal to learn as much French as possible. I think, that I will especially concentrate on speaking.

Great job managing to do a lesson a day while visiting friends! That can really be tough and takes some
discipline! Enjoy your last

well! Safe travels!!

Weekly review
This is my weekly review for last week. Well I'm back in New Zealand now, I left France monday
morning and arrived in New Zealand on wednesday afternoon.. one of the disadvantages of living in
NZ I guess. During my last week in France I didn't spend as much time studying because I was
making the most of the precious little time I had left with my girlfriend. Even though I didn't spend
that much time actively studying with assimil and SRS, I did practice my speaking a lot.
I really enjoyed these past two months in France. It was great to experience French culture and the
exposure to the French language was fantastic as well.
University starts next week, this is the last year of my degree in Linguistics and German and after
looking at my timetable I will have plenty of space to slot some French in.
French in Action - still mid way through lesson 7. (Resuming this week)
Assimil NFWE - lesson 42 passive wave.
Memrise - 1,963 words learned.
Week 5 Feb 9th - 15th Feb
Min time spent: 30 minutes
Max time spent: 1 hour 44 minutes 19 seconds.
Average time per day: 38 minutes 44 seconds.
Weekly total: 4 hours 38 minutes 12 seconds.
Yearly total so far: 40 hours 5 minutes 49 seconds.

Weekly review
Well this week hasn't be the greatest for my studies. As I mentioned in my post above, I arrived back
in NZ on Wednesday and I've been working every day since. I've been feeling rather tired, maybe a
tad bit of jet lag I'm not sure.. I completed 3 assimil lessons and some revision but nothing more than
that unfortunately. However, I have spent some time tonight sorting out my schedule, so next week
will be back to full steam ahead.
I bought a laptop when I was in France, the main reason was that I need a new laptop for university.
Another reason because I wanted a French keyboard, I know the German and English keyboards well
enough, but I couldn't get my head around the AWERTY setup the French keyboard uses, so having a
French keyboard makes my life just a little easier.
French in Action - still mid way through lesson 7. (Resuming next week)
Assimil NFWE - lesson 45 passive wave.
Memrise - 1,963 words learned.
Week 6 Feb 16th - 22nd Feb
Min time spent: 30 minutes.
Max time spent: 30 minutes.
Average time per day: 30 minute.
Weekly total: 1 hour 30 minutes.
Yearly total so far: 41 hours 35 minutes 49 seconds.
