Amphises,

According to your profile you live relatively close to me. Just out of curiosity, from where do you get all your DVDs of non-japanese origin but with Japanese Audio track? Did you get them in Japan? Or can you buy them in your current location?

Thanks for the explanation on warrior themed movies. Maybe I will try to purchase some. As long as it is understable to me, I have interest in warrior speach. Or in other words, 拙者は武士の話し方が好きで御座る!

Thanks

Luke

I did buy quite a few in Japan; I found second hand DVDs are quite affordable there.

A few came from p2p though, if you have no qualms about that, google "perfect dark" or "share ex2".

I know this thread was made fearly long ago, but I have taken the advice of some of the commenters here and can say that I am thankful.

I have become addicted to Death Note. I have seen the Anime up to episode 28 many times and both parts of the movie a handful of times. I did it all without subtitles too so it came in handy for really good listening comprehension practice. The reason why I love it so much is that, as well as the plot being pure genius, I really is very dialogue-dense like at least one commenter has said.

I just womder what to get now. If I like Death Note, what else will I like? Something dialogue-intensive of course.

Check out an anime by the name of MONSTER. 74 monstrous episodes packed with dialogue intensity.

In my opinion one of the best animes ever made.

The main problem with series like Death Note or Monster is, they contain lots of specialized vocabulary, so there will be stretches of understanding next to nothing for me.
